Bikram Yoga method is a series of 26 stretching and strengthening postures (asanas) with 2 breathing exercises performed in a room heated at 40 degrees (Celsius). The series is scientifically designed to provide 100% total body workout from bones to skin, fingers to toes. By the end of the 90 minute workout, you will have worked every muscle, tendon, joint, ligament as well as internal organs and glands while systematically moving fresh oxygenated blood throughout your entire body. Bikram Yoga is part of Hatha Yoga. Bikram Yoga Kuningan (BYK) is a licensed Bikram Yoga studio, approved by Bikram Choudhury himself in Dec 2011. Bikram Yoga Kuningan is owned and operated by Ricca Fransisca who is a certified Bikram Yoga Instructor, graduated from Acapulco Teacher Training Fall 2008 and re-certified again in Los Angeles, Fall 2011. She is the only re-certified Indonesian Bikram Yoga Instructor in Jakarta. Her teaching experience includes teaching in Quincy and West Roxbury in Massachusetts, USA; Jakarta, Indonesia; Geelong and Werribee, Victoria, Australia. Bikram Yoga Kuningan is the first Bikram Yoga studio that uses flotex flooring in the hot room in accordance to Bikram's rules. Studio rules: For first time students, please arrive at least 20 mins before the class starts in order to register yourselves properly. No reservations, first comes first served Late comers are not allowed to enter the yoga class, especially when the teacher in-charge has entered the room and started your first breathing exercise. The door will be locked. One or two minutes late is still late. No exceptions.
